Gosh, it feels like a regular here… a random post and then a radio silence. I don’t intend to do that but life happens and no one but you is to be blamed for it. I still can’t seem to wrap my head around the REELS, which honestly, takes up all my time. Most of the times I feel burnt out and as a result – my blog suffers! It feels like an obligation and I believe ” if I’m not enjoying it, I shouldn’t do it as I won’t be giving my best shot at it.”
Anyhow, if you haven’t been hanging around, you might have missed highlights from my Asia cruise and India trip. I was in India for a good seven weeks, the longest I’ve stayed since Ms. Riri was born. It did feel short as we were on a plane every third day. We travelled, we explored, we ate and yes- I gained back all the seven pounds I had lost prior to the trip. Bummed, but I am back on track with my fitness regime and feeling better than ever.
Talking about food, we tasted a plethora of dishes during the past two months. From familiar dishes like Thai curries and pad Thai to never-heard dishes like Laksa, Nasi Lemak, this trip was a complete culinary adventure. I know you’re curious about my trip, you could follow my FAMILY TRAVEL PAGE , as I continue to share my family’s travel experiences and itineraries there.
Talking tech, what’s your take on the whole AI, ChatGPT situation? I agree it’s a boon, saves you time and brainstorming. On the contrary I feel it is reducing our mental agility. First we lost the habit of writing by hand, thanks to smartphones and electronics-based learning. Now, we are loosing our comprehension skills- thanks to these automated platforms. Truth- these automated platforms can never add that human element- it is unmatchable!
Let’s switch gears to this sari outfit. Disclaimer- nothing in this outfit except for the blouse is mine. Sari, bag, and jewelry came from of my mom’s closet and the sequin vest is my sister’s. That’s the beauty of having a stylish mom and siblings- you borrow, share and steal things from each other’s closets. This look was curated around the shoot location, which BTW has it’s own little story, that you can read HERE.
I am so glad I bought this outfit to Kolkata! It was the most befitting look! With the hotel’s Zamindar village like charm, this royal/elegant look was deserving! Especially, the seedha palla ( front drape ) which screams royalty- what say?
Ladies, I did ears piercing….again! I went from one to three sets of piercings. What I thought was going to be my second pair of piercing , was actually an old piercing. I assumed the hole had closed since I had stopped weddings earrings a while ago. But, if you’ve worn gold in your piercing for more than two years in a row, it doesn’t close. A random fact that I learnt at the ear-piercing bar. “I had an old piercing revived” – just like that! Check out this fancy ear-piercing bar HERE.
Concert season is at an all time high. Taylor Swift’s ERAS tour and Beyonce’s RENAISSANCE tour is bringing back the festival energy everywhere. Concert, jazzy, flashy outfit sales are at all time high and I had to do my part here too. Below are some of my picks from my favorite retailer, and bonus: they ship worldwide.
