I am back with another sari look. If you remember my last post HERE, it was also a sari post but a more modern take on the traditional Indian sari. Well, Kiara Advani’s wedding look inspired my first look. She looked divine in a baby pink Lehenga, laden with layers of diamond emerald jewelry. She looked like a goddess for sure ! While, in my case I didn’t I have a similar lehenga, I had this sari from my wedding trousseau.
I can’t believe that this sari is almost 12 years old ! It does have a couple tiny yellow spots here and there- thanks to my sloppy eating habits, but otherwise- it’s still as new ! It is one of the saris that never loose their charm and beauty. The all over embellishment does make the sari heavy, but that’s the exquisiteness of it ! If you would like to see my GRWM IG REELS video, see the link below.
Niching down on my main IG page hasn’t been anything short of challenges at my end. Building up three different accounts, all single-handedly hasn’t been rosy. However, I am really enjoying my main beauty page @MusingsofSaumya . Trying out and sharing new beauty and health trends with you all gives me so much joy! There is so much to take and comprehend, but I promise to bring to you only that works and fits your needs. Makeup and skincare for mature skin has been doing extremely well and I can’t wait to share all that I have lined up for you all. Make sure your are following me there.
Not sure of you, but I am a very superstitious. A series of events related to our travel plans has overly fueled my superstition. Since last July we’ve had to cancel 7-8 domestic and international trips and it’s just been a nuisance. Nothing covid-related, but all due to last minute unforeseen illnesses and injuries. Unfortunately, each time it was my husband who got injured. Now, we fear making trips or even talk about them. So I’ve decided to just make impromptu plans and go without beating any drums about them.
Since we have been cancelling most of our travel plans, I have been trying out ways to create my own tropical getaway at home. So, when I learn’t about this Badesofa Bath Pillow ( pictured above ), I knew I had to give it a try. It’s on the pricier side, but the number of times I’ve already used it, has given me a bang for every buck spent. BADESOFA is the first underwater bath pillow that supports the head and the entire back area. It is easy to handle and extremely easy to care for. The outer cover is water-resistant, machine washable, and is available is seven different colors . Now, I enjoy my bath bathtime in my new bathroom even more- it better than ever !
Another tub picture below is for bragging purposes only ;). If you haven’t already heard of Cold Plunge, this is your sign to do your own research on them. I recently tried the Contrast therapy and it was the most daring thing I tried in 2023. You first sit in an infra sauna of 15-20 minutes and then alternate it with a couple of brief, 60 secs dip in a tub of freezing water. Sounds crazy and trust me- it was crazy. I couldn’t last more than 30 secs each time- the water was frigid cold and I was numb. This therapy reduces pain, boosts muscle recovery and even aids weight reduction. This is daring and I dare you to give it a try.
Jumping ahead of the trend curve, Denim maxi skirt is going to be the next big thing. Wear the skirt with a fitted top, cropped boxy tops or with another denim piece- this skirt is going to be everywhere. I have been on the hunt for the right length and style and this, this and this are some of the contenders. Whether I will buy these is another good question, but for now I am happy with this one I already own, check it out HERE.
Talking about skirts, a pleated midi skirt is another timeless silhouette we all must own. It is one of those effortless closet pieces that can be dressed up or down in a flash. Bonus, it looks great on every height and body type. I styled mine season to season in this post and folks loved the winter look the most. Check it out HERE and let me know which seasonal look is your fave?
Now its your turn to share your thoughts and favorite spring outfits.
