Not the Regular Red, White and Blue Outfit

July 4th is almost here and while I was perusing my blog archive for some inspiration, I realized how my Red, White and Blue outfits have evolved. During my early blogging days I would literally wear a white shirt, blue skirt and bright red lips. It was like my patented Independence Day outfit year after year. I took the holiday color code way too serious…sartorially!

Now, when I look at my sartorial interpretation of the red, white and blue holiday color scheme- I’ve come a long-long way. There is red, there is blue and there is white, but not in your face kind of RWB. Still patriotic, but much more modern and unconventional, more like blogger patriotic.

Today I’m sharing three July 4th outfit ideas, each one is unique and slight stray from the typical white dress/blue denim, red heels look. Let me know which look is your favorite?

This one is an ode to the 70’s. Denim on denim with full-on curly hair screams retro. I have my shows for that are red, outfit that is blue and the bag which is nearly white.

This was a bolder choice for the warm weather but surprisingly the dress wasn’t hot. It looks bulky but trust me-it’s way more cooler and comfortable than it looks. I have my heels that are red, my outfit and bag that are nearly white and my earrings that are blue.

Now this one is more head-on patriotic. Red heels, white and blue shirt and almost white pants. It is patriotic yet so fresh, what say?
