As a fashion blogger I personally feel accountable to my readers for bringing the latest trends to light. Trends change by the hour and as much as I would love to try out all seasonal trends, there are times when certain trends don’t speak to me at all. No matter how hard I try, I know I will never be able to make peace.

One such trend that I’m having a hard time warming up to is the flatform lug sole boot. I can do combat, lace-up, square, OTK, any style but lug sole- I’ll take a pass! These boots are all over the place but they couldn’t find a place in my closet. There is nothing wrong about the boots and looking at them I bet they are super comfy, but they still failed to appeal to me. I guess it’s just my skinny ankle that were drowning in the roominess and chunky bottom sole. I felt like a little kid wearing his oldest brother’s soccer shoes aka BIGGGGG! I just couldn’t pull them off.
Now talking about one shoe trend that I never thought I would warm up to was the sheer ankle socks with pumps trend. Not exactly a shoe trend but still a trend. This has become a classic look that somehow I never was into. This summer when I was cleaning/purging my closet, I found a couple of sheer socks that were bought to be worn with pumps in the first place, but which I had forgotten about- well, out of sight, out of mind. I made sure to keep them at a place where I could see them and here they are. I kind of love the socks peeking from under the jeans. They look more like tights but wearing socks and pumps with a skirt would be the ideal way to showcase this trend. Wearing sheer ankle socks with skirt would have been a huge leap for me, but I’m happy taking baby steps for now. Overall, a trend that I am in love with and regret not trying out earlier. So don’t blame me if I frequent the sheer tights with pump path more.

I tried the flatform lug boots too and had to return them—they made my feet look huge and just aren’t “me”!

I do love a stompy boot, especially with a gorgeous feminine dress the contrast can be stunning – but not keen on the lug boot style too. These photographs of your outfit are stunning and loved the coatigan you’re wearing.
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
