It’s National OOTD day and I wanted to dedicate my today’s outfit to this woman-made holiday and share stories of the individual pieces. I hadn’t done print on print in a while and when I bought this skirt- I exactly knew what my first outfit would be.
THE SKIRT : This skirt has a sartorial story of its own. When I first bought the skirt online it was marked down to $190.99 from $268. It was a lot to pay for a trendy skirt but I caved in, cuz I loved it! A few days later the skirt got further marked down to $120. I called the customer service requesting for a price adjustment but as the retailer had filed for chapter 11, the rep was required to refuse honoring any price adjustment requests on sale items- so she politely declined. I wasn’t mad or anything, instead I was happy that the retailer was still accepting returns. So I placed another order for the same skirt, this time equipped with a $25 store credit from a previous return, I paid $95 this time. The skirt that you see is from the second time around and glad I reordered cuz the price went back up to $190.99.
THE BLOUSE: this blouse has been with me for a while now, six months precisely, but it is making its debut on the blog today. The first time around I wore the blouse with a pair of blue jean, a pair of ivory boots, this neon pink coat, and a pearl headband on my hair. I remember it is so vividly cuz I had gone bowling with the family and received so many compliments throughout the time we hung out a the bowling place and then at a neighboring restaurant for dinner later. I was attracted to the overall flowiness, and those statement sleeves which continues to be a huge trend this summer as well.
THE BELT: talk to me about that MOSCHINO belt! I had been wanting to buy the black option but when the white one went on sale, I couldn’t resist the awesome sale. It was flat 32% off with an extra 20%- too good to resist right ? I am glad I bought the white one- it is perfect for summer and is a good change from the good-ole black, which I have abundance of.
THE PUMPS: you call it a pump-addiction when you have the black, the tan, the studded purple, and now the burgundy one which you just ordered while writing the post, of the same pump style. It is the VALA line from my favorite shoe retailer and they are truly the most comfortable pair pairs of pumps I’ve ever owned. They bear such great resemblance to the Louboutins, but are a fraction of the designer pair’s price. You must try em out specially now when the retailer is offering July 4th discounts.
That’s the story of my outfit, what’s the story of your outfit today?

This is a truly fabulous skirt and can I understand why you had to have it! What brilliant styling, too! The pattern mix is on point.

It’s a beautiful skirt and I love the story behind it. I can totally relate to wanting something so badly and caving in. This entire outfit looks great and just adore the twirl factor!
