For all those who have been following along by-now know very well ‘ how much I love colors.’ Bright and happy colors are my weakness and I can’t even express the extent to which I get excited seeing bright colors. It is pure joy for me.
Anyways, summer is here in full swing and I won’t complain as I am home mostly- thanks to Madam Corona. But that ain’t stopping me from busting out my brights. All my summer dresses are out and on repeat already. I prefer wearing dresses at home, they are so easy-peasy and breezy. But dresses aren’t the topic of today’s discussion, COLORS are!
Each year Pantone comes up with a color of the year and a few other hot hues for every season of the year. Spring/summer 2020 listed some of my favorite colors namely PEAR GREEN and PALE BLUE but the successors are worth taking a peek.

Pear Green
I stole this pear green dress from my sister’s closet last summer- well, not exactly stole but taken with consent which I might have to return the next time I see her. Happy that this chartreuse green/pear green- a shade between yellow and green is hot cuz it screams HAPPILY GREEN to me. This color just pops, it is luxurious and pairs really well with blue, red and even pink which is the next hot color in the list.

Pink
I was always under the impression that pink wasn’t my color but after my feed got inundated with compliments on my latest Instagram post HERE, my perception for self about this color changed. I kind of like it more and feel a tad bit more confident about adding this color to my wardrobe. Good thing it pairs so beautifully with red which happens to be one of my all-time favorite color combination.

Pale Blue
Call it pale blue or pastel blue, there is not much difference between the two. Classic blue was announced as the Pantone Color of this year, but this shade of blue made it to the charts as well. Blue is my favorite color, so give me any shade of it and I’ll be one happy mamma. Pale blue is more like a classic, pair it with white, blues, reds, or even browns- it makes a really pleasing combo with the aforementioned.

Sand
Say hello to the color that never goes out of style- SAND or BEIGE! A neutral, a classic, this color is always so flattering. It might looked washed out on some, but there is no sartorial hitch that textures and prints can’t fix. I would wear my Sand with a deep red in a heartbeat.

White
Kudos to WHITE for making it to the top 5. Had to be cuz this is the color that is universally flattering and is acceptable as the color of summer across the globe. Not one shade fits all, so you got to find the right shade of white for your skin type. Ivory, bone, snow, eggshell….the list goes on. Just like Sand, White can feel dull on its own, hence incorporate some pastel shades, prints, textures, and varied silhouettes to make it all the more luxe.
