These days everything revolves around Madam Corona, I bet coronavirus is a lady cuz men seldom become the talk of the town world- right! Whatever we do, whatever we plan is contingent on how the virus is going to impact it. For instance, the other day we wanted to order some takeout, apparently we all are bored of my cooking, but after a good twenty minutes of deliberation- we dropped the idea. We are still not comfortable ordering food delivery or takeout simply cuz this mommy has her own notions about the virus and it’s spread. How many of you fear like me??
This is just one instance of the many, there are several random thoughts and things that race my mind 24X7, keep reading….
Some states have started to ease their social distancing protocols and given green signal to non-essential businesses to open their doors for business, which I personally think is irrational. I understand these decisions had to be made under economic pressures, but since when has life become worth nothing? What will an economy be without people? The cases are still increasing everyday and if businesses open we shall have a second wave in the next few weeks versus Fall.
I understand the economy is suffering, but online retailers seem to be doing just fine. Every time my eyes get stuck on an item online, I hold off buying it just in anticipation of a better sale code, mark down, but when I revisit a few days later- it is OUT OF STOCK. Not once, but it happened a few times and I’ve learn’t my lesson- the early bird gets the worm. Either people are pursuing major retail therapy or retailers are keeping limited stock just as a measure in lieu of the declining public demand. What do you think?
Finally, I ordered my custom walk-in-closet. After three long years of planning, going over several designs, meeting handful of interior designers, turndowns and brainstorming, it is finally happening. I will have a closet- a space which would be a promotion for my clothes from carton boxes to shelves and hangars. However, the delivery date is for mid June, thanks to Madam Corona, which I actually don’t mind considering the 1,095 days I’ve already waited.
On a lighter note, this past weekend I shared an easy and delicious Oven Roasted Spicy Chickpeas recipe video over on my Instagram. It is really simple to make and makes the best teatime snack. Check it out HERE.
Just like the whole world, cooking and baking was at an all time high in my household and I enjoyed it. But, in the last few days it is kind of getting on my nerves. I don’t want to make elaborate dishes, all I want to feed my family and myself is soup and salad or may be a cheesy pasta the day I feel extra zealous. Is it just a phase or did I indulge too much in cooking before the hardship even began? I just hope it is fleeting and the interest resumes post my menstrual cycle…. HUH!
If you are wondering ‘how’ and ‘where’ these pictures were taken, my answer would be- BLAST FROM THE PAST. I shot these pictures last summer at a local building property that invited me to use their location. Truth be told, I do have a bunch of outfits that I shot pre-quarantine but never posted here. I am glad I did, cuz now I can easily stretch my posts through May, after which outfit photos will become a matter of concern- probably then I will have to venture out to meet my photographer and take photos wearing masks.

I hear you lady. Madam Corona has really dampened a lot of things. I worry like you because why not?! So much we don’t know about the virus and while I don’t want to live my life in fear, I also never want to be the one to affect my immediate family or close friends. In the same token, I am done with cooking too. I cooked before quarantine and I didn’t like it then and it’s worst during quarantine as the food supply seem to be always low. Regarding sales, I feel the same way. I see items go out of stock way faster than before quarantine. So economy problems or not, there are still some folks doing retail therapy! Btw, I love your skirt. It’s a beauty and just an eye candy!
