While ankle boots always enjoy a fair share of winter-limelight, OTK ( over the knee high boots ) deserve some love and attention too. They are sassy, elongating, give you height and come in a variety of styles and prints now. When it comes to the fit, OTK boots can be a challenge for ladies with thicker thighs and calves, but with retailers now offering wider shaft options, finding a pair that is easy to fit into is no more of a beast.
On the contrary, I am someone who is constantly looking for boots that fit snug on my thinner calves and skinny thighs- basically a pair that doesn’t slip, scrunch and has some stretch for a sung fit. While this pair I’m wearing is from last year, I’m glad that it’s available this year as well, cuz it is surely their bestseller. Good news- this year it is available in a few other colors and since it fits me so well, I am debating getting the brown one too.
Finding the right pair of OTK boots might be hard, but styling a pair of OTK is so-so easy. Wear it with a mini skirt, a mini-dress, a pair of jeans or even with a midi dress with a thigh high-slit like I am wearing HERE, styling options are infinite. Personally, I like mine over a pair of jeans as tucking the jeans into these boots adds some bulk and keeps my boots from slipping. Inadvertently, a styling hack throw in just like that!
