Happy July 1 lovelies!
It is my birthday month and I couldn’t be more excited to see what thirty seven looks like. At 36 I am married, have a beautiful family, have multiple careers, a home mortgage, 529 college fund for Riri, a retirement fund, life insurance – overall a decent life. Well, this is exactly how your life is expected to be in your thirties, right? Some standards set by the society for you that you are expected to have accomplished by a certain age. But what about your own wishes, your dreams, your bucket list??????
TBH, I don’t exactly have a bucket list. Reason- I never actually attempted to make one. But there are these random things that I always wanted to do and would like to check them off my wishlist before some mishap happens and things change for the worse. Nothing too extravagant or fanciful, just random everyday things that would make me happy. So for once ( much deserved cuz it is my birthday month ) I am becoming a little selfish and rounding up things that I would like to do before I turn 40.
For time immemorial I always wanted to do a photoshoot in the middle of the road in a long flowy maxi dress with wind-blown hair and a champagne bottle in my hand, even if it meant waking up early to find empty roads sans traffic. I would totally blame it on the fact that I never did an engagement or pre-wedding photoshoot. Anyways, this was like a dream come true, yep people these little things give me more content in life. I brought that bar chair, placed it in the middle of the road, there were cones along the sidewalk that I used to block the section of the road and voila – my first wish fulfilled. Status- DONE.
Next up, feet in the air photo. If you all know me well, you know much I love my shoes and for the sake of that love I wanted to swing my feet up in the air and take shoe photos. Status- DONE. Photos coming up soon on my Instagram.
In these last few years I didn’t have much time for TV. I lived a very disciplined and routine life. But ever since I quit my day job last week, I knew I wanted to have a day to myself with no cooking, no cleaning, no dishes, no laundry, just binge watching bollywood movies. Status- DONE. Riri was out with her cousins this past weekend and hubs and I pretty much lazied around all day Saturday. We watched non-stop Indian movies and finished all the leftovers.
Another wish: traveling back-to-back. I always dreamt of that on-the-go, living out of suitcase life and it is finally coming true. Thanks to my amazing sponsors, family and I are on a road trip or flight trip to three different destinations across the weekends in July and I couldn’t be more excited to plan and pack for three different kinds of travel ventures. Status – ALMOST DONE.
These are some of the little things that were on my list for long and I feel blessed that I am finally able to accomplish those. There is a lot more to share and do and I’ll give a shoutout here on the blog when I check them off my list.
What’s on your birthday bucket list.

I love your bucket list. People usually write buckets lists that are a bit unrealistic or those they don't really plan on following and I love how realistic your list is. First of all, I absolutely love your outfit. The photoshot idea is fabulous. Posing in a gorgeous maxi dress in the middle of a road is such a fab photoshot idea. You look divine in these photos. It's great you were able to catch up on movies too. I rarely watch TV because blogging takes up most of my free time but sometimes it is good to just relax, isn't it! Happy birthday month beautiful.
