Happy Monday lovelies!
Why is it that the week after a vacation seems the longest and most exhausting?? I guess it’s cuz the vacation activates the chill-mode on and forgets to switch it off post vacation till you have all that pending work staring at your face…. Not sure if that’s the case with you all, but for me- it is cent percent real. This past week felt the longest at work and I just yearned for the weekend to arrive. I did nothing major this weekend except for binge watching Bollywood movies. In case you are looking for a movie recommendation, you should watch this one. I just loved it!

In case I missed mentioning before, the weekend before this past one, we took a break and spent a couple days by the beach at Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. It was a seven hour drive from DC, not bad at all for US road standards. It was still a bit cold for ocean dipping, but the place is pretty laid back and the beaches are beautiful. The sunrise is worth watching. It did rain for most part but there is plenty to do indoors and you could get a glimpse of that here. Also, if you like my dress please shop it HERE.
Talking about today’s outfit, someone on Instagram called these jeans trippy. Well, I could have lashed out but then I found the comment inspiring and in all good spirits wanted to caption today’s post ‘ the story of the psychedelic pants”. These printed jeans are fun, high-wasted, slimming, flattering, fit TTS and come in a variety of other fun summer prints, check them out here.
I have been loving Rent the Runway- both my blouse and bag are from RTR. It is really convenient to rent and return and I have been using it to the fullest. Check them out here and if you are willing to give it this service a shot, you could get 50% off your first month RTR unlimited with code “SSHIOH50” .
I had no intentions to shop, but I ended up buying this and this in my recent trip to Georgetown DC. Both the pieces were on sale and looked so pretty paired together that I had to buy em. Now I just need either a date night or someone to turn around the calendar to Feb 14 – lol!
Riri has become quiet a girl, who likes to express her opinion. Talking about expressing- she thinks I look like a spy when I wear these sunglasses, that you see one me and has been mockingly insisting that I buy a black cadillac to finish that rough and tough spy look. These sunglasses were an impulse purchase after I saw them on one of my girlfriends. I kind of like em, but after Riri’s expert comment, I have been on the fence about them. What do you think?
Hubs and I have been on a major home decoration and shopping spree and our current shopaholism has resulted in this, this, this and this. I am particularly looking forward to receiving this one as it would complete my living room. The living room set up was missing an accent chair and we seem to have found THE piece.
Talking about home, we did some yard work yesterday. I have never been a gardener per se, but having your own backyard makes you want to try out so much. We have a flower bed that we have been trying to revive- we’ve soiled, planted several different kind of plants/flowers but nothing seemed to work. This time we decided not to experiment and planted the zero-maintenance, easiest to grow- ROSE! Blame it on the major markdown on these bushes, we decided to plant these bad boys this time. Hopefully I will have some pretty flowers to showoff and use as prop for my Instagram photos….. lol! What are your favorite, easy-to-grow plants??

Going on vacation is always so fun but coming down from the high is also always so hard! Love your printed pants. They are unique and I love the color.
