Baby it’s cold outside, but the sales are hot inside…… bad one right??
The holidays are officially over, decorations have been taken down and carefully stowed away for next season and the festivity-spirits have died down, there is something still to look forward to : WINTER SALE. While most of the retailers are offering deep discounts on their current inventory to make room for their new inventory, there are a five things that you should absolutely, certainly consider buying during the post-Christmas sale.
1) WINTER COATS – the shelf life of heavy winter jackets and coats is just a couple months, post which i.e now In January the retailers want to get rid of them, coz as soon as warm spring weather kicks in, their demand diminishes to nada. So now is the time to go buy that Moncler jacket or the Apparis teddy coat you had been sale-stalking all Nov-Dec.
2) SNOW BOOTS– outdoor gear including snow boots tend to get discounted after the holidays. Reason being the same shelf-life mentioned in point 1.
3) HOLIDAY DECORATIONS– this is the time to stock up on all the pretty holiday decorations you had been wanting to buy, but the hefty price made you place them on the bottom of the holidays shopping list. The retailers want to get rid of them as soon as possible, again to make room for other seasonal stuff.
4) GIFT SETS – the demand for gift-sets, packaged gifts significantly drops after Christmas, so go ahead and treat yourself to the spa kit you had been eyeing or the chocolate kit your niece always wanted.
5) TOYS– Once the holidays are over and the craze dies down, the same toys that were in high demand in November and December may all of a sudden be overstocked and go on sale. Keep your eye out for “it” toys, which were likely out of stock before the holidays. Stock them for the future birthdays, favors and so on so forth.
