It finally feels like fall here in DC and I know I am going to cherish every minute of it: both physically and sartorially. Fall brings with it an array of sartorial goodness such as cashmere, brocade, velvet, plaids, tweeds and even corduroys. I am personally not a huge fan of the thin cord, but a thicker cord weave… and I am all over it.
This year corduroy suits are huge and I am not letting it go without getting the most out if this trend. Letting you in on a little secret: I bought both this and this pant and blazer set and I can totally justify my purchase.
- It is pant suit, hence a no-brainer. It easily goes from desk to dinner with just a footwear change.
- I can use the pieces as separates to mix and match with other pieces in my closet.
- The suit together came under $200 each.
- The blazers are a double breast style, the most flattering blazer ever made.
- Pastels never go out of style.
