There is no denying that the last few days have been extremely hot, hot to the extent that all I have on my mind is ” sipping chilled watermelon frosé by the cool-cool pool.” Trust me the dog days of summer are here and they are utterly unpleasant.
Anyways, I had the chance to partner with NIC+ZOE this summer. Nic+Zoe is a more mature, sophisticated line of clothing, but who denies the opportunity to walk into a store and walk out with a bag full of clothes, that to all on the house. Yes, you heard it right: I got to pick out one outfit in its entirety, from their summer-fall collection and I won’t lie- “I did feel like a girl in the candy store, struggling to decide what to buy and what to skip.”
Having said that, I picked out this handkerchief hem dress, that I paired with this chambray jacket ( not pictured ). I brought my dress to India and acknowledging the fact that “I got the most wear out of this dress”, would be a sartorial understatement. The hot, muggy weather back hime definitely called for a light breezy dress like this one.
The dress is surely a resort wear, but I wanted to give it a more everyday look, hence the belt and high heels. What do you think of the look?
