If you are the one always on the Jeans-in-winter bandwagon, but now looking for ways to up your winter jean game- then you are in for a treat today. Personally for me, jean becomes my uniform all winter, not only coz it keeps me warm and tucks easily into my boots, but also coz it needs no brainstorming. A pair of jeans, a pullover sweater, your favorite knee-high boots and voila- I am ready to head out!
But, when the winter is long, sartorial boredom from wearing jeans can sure roll in. So how do you continue wearing jeans without looking/feeling boring????? …..keep reading …….
- Think out of the box: Jeans has come a long way from what it used to be a decade ago. Boyfriend, girlfriend, high waist, wide leg, carpenter fit, embroidered, embellished, patched, bleached- you name it and there would probably be a pair of jeans in that fit and style. These little details give your jean-game a whole new twist and interest. So next time you are in the market for a pair of jeans, go with an open mind and bring a few fits and styles to the fitting room with you.
- Add sparkles: be it your sweater or your blouse, a little sparkle never hurts. I am a huge advocate of daytime sparkle and would never let go a chance of wearing one. So bring your bling and have your own party too….
- Go luxe: a good quality faux fur overcoat is always a top-notch pick. I would any day choose a faux fur outer over a puffer down jacket. It is luxe, very street-stylish and now that it comes in several color option, every fashionistas’ favorite.
- Statement heels: if wearing chunky boots was optional owing to any weather warm up, I would undeniably go for a pair of open-toe booties. Booties are a great way to elevate any winter outfit. Wear them as is or with a sassy pair of socks in case of open toe ones, you won’t be disappointed.
How do you like to up your jean-game in winter ???
