2) RUFFLES SOME SPOT ELSE – if you are not comfortable with ruffles over your chest, how about ruffles on the sleeves, like this one, or on the cuffs, like this one?? Both ruffles on the sleeve arms and the cuffs are a great alternative to doing ruffles on the upper half.
3) RUFFLE OFF-THE-SHOULDERS– talk me about this one, and I could go on and on about how much I love off-the-shoulder tops and dresses, and now off-the-shoulder sweaters in fall. Yes, you hear me right !!! : off-the-shoulder sweaters. When in the market for one, look for slimmer silhouettes, one-layer ruffle pieces. Avoid multi-layers of ruffle, they could add extra weight.
4) COVER UP– another great way to have your ruffles and wear it too, is by covering up. When I say cover up, I mean add a blazer or a jacket. Wear your ruffles as you like it, simply throw on a structured, simple-lines blazer and all your chesty-action will go under covers.
5) RUFFLES ON THE BOTTOM – don’t be disheartened if nothing seems to be working so far. Try a ruffled skirt like this or this one. Choose a fully-ruffled skirt or one with ruffles at the hem, both will look great. Pair it with a simple top or a sweater and voila! I am loving the ruffle-tiered bottom more than anything. I am more comfortable wearing a ruffled-skirt than ruffled-tops. It is entirely my jam. Today’s outfit is a sure example of my love for ruffles.
