STYLE SWAP TUESDAYS- HOW TO WEAR YOUR SUMMER DRESSES IN FALL ????

With labor day gone, it is the time of the year when we all need to revisit our fall closets. Bringing the sweaters and jackets to the forefront, making sure they are clean and fit right: all these to-do has already started to loom. Whereas, it might be a little too early to bust out all those heavy jackets, it is just the time to start layering strategically.

One spring layering trend that is still going strong and overly prominent on the streets and malls too, is the dress over jeans trend. It is easy, fun and an effortless way to look street chic. Personally, I have a love and hate relationship with this trend: but mostly love. Six out of ten looks that I recreate, would be a hit and others a miss. Not only is this style of dressing trendy, but also gives you more wear of your summer dresses, that you might not yet be ready to bid farewell.

This dress has been my best over-the-shoulder purchase this summer. It is such a great color and the balloon sleeves is to die for. I have worn this dress with blue and pink accessories, but today it is shades of yellow: perfect for fall !!

This is just one way of wearing your summer dresses in fall. Another easy, everyone’s favorite is to wear the summer dresses with cute booties. Again, not the right time to pull out the big guns, aka BOOTS yet, but cute booties are definitely on every fashionistas radar, this time of the year. Wear them as is, or give a little peek of your fancy ankle socks, styling options are endless. If booties are not your jam, then go for the slouchy boots, another trend high this fall.
