STYLE SWAP TUESDAYS- THE ONE-SHOULDER TREND

While DC is drowned in six inches of snow, a DC blogger is done with the cold and is having her own minute of spring-love on her blog. Well, blame it on the capricious weather that is hot one day and cold the next day. This weather trend has been going on a for a long and I am so done….! Can someone please get this memo to Mother nature as well???
Despite all this weather uncertainties, I am loving all the cool trends for spring and so looking forward to welcoming them in my closet. My most favorite being the one-shoulder blouse/dress trend. Initially, I was quite skeptical about this one, but in retrospect- I am loving it !

This one shoulder blouse from +LOFT screams spring in all respect. The stripes, the ruffles, the floral lace border, the sex-appeal: come on, what more do you want in a top ??? Except for the bra strap issue, there is nothing not to like about this blouse. 
If you know me well, you would also be aware of my obsession with prints. I am a girl who loves a good print, and mixing prints, print on print is my passion. Mixing prints together makes me high and I love this feeling-fly-feeling.

This time I coupled one stripe with another: one being vertical and the other horizontal. Horizontal lines always give the illusion of wide and these pants definitely work in my favor: making my slimmer hips look voluptuous 😉 . The vertical stripe top elongates my short torso, which again works in my favor. Inadvertently, I rocked another evergreen trend- MONOCHROMATIC.
