If you are like me: time-crunched, busy, always on-the-go, then you are definitely in for a treat. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone could come over to you, at your very doorstep and pamper you all the way, without you having to worry about a single thing?? Well, thanks to +GLAMSQUAD for making this wish come true for me and for all those busy women who always put their family and work first and themselves last and sometimes nowhere.
ABOUT GLAMSQUAD : GlamSquad is an on-demand app-based uber service for beauty, that delivers professional and affordable hair, makeup and nail services, be it your home, or office or even your hotel, GlamSquad is there at your service round the clock. I had the privilege of trying GlamSquad past Friday and there is only good things that I have to say about them.
PROCESS: It all begins with downloading the app, then creating your profile, then choosing your location, then the service, then your preferred day and time and voila!!! -you are all set for a day of pampering. The entire process from downloading the app to booking a hair and makeup appointment was not only seamless, but a learning experience in itself.
THE SQUAD TEAM– the stylist and artists are pro’s in their respective fields. They arrive at your doorstep with all the necessary tools, starting from a bobby pin to a mirror. All the products are of ace quality and are well sanitized after every appointment. My hair stylist Ashley had an impressive resume with ten years of experience with some extremely good brands. Audrey, my makeup artist was a model turned makeup artist from Paris. With nineteen years of experience in the beauty industry, Audrey is a now a pro and a freelance beautician too.
DAY OF APPOINTMENT: if you have a hair appointment, you are advised to shampoo fifteen-twenty minutes before your appointment time, so that your hair is damp when the stylist arrives.
Ashley and I did a little goofing up on Insta stories. Follow me here for my future stories.
and a little poof-ing up too.
Then stylists work in a very synchronized way, without troubling you in any way.
They are totally open to redoing, in case you don’t like something. I had my baby hair done a few times, till I was content.
With makeup, Audrey first cleaned my afce with wipes. She then moisturized my whole face and lips.
She then started with my eyes. I decided to go with smokey eyes and nude lips. The rule of thumb is to apply foundation after your eye makeup. This allows you to camouflage any product residue that might have fallen from the application.
After the eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara came the foundation. Audrey had a bag full of foundation in all her favorite brands and in all possible shades. So your perfect match is guaranteed. A win-win!
She finished off with some matte loose powder.
