Can’t believe another year rolled by just like that. It has definitely been a roller coaster, lots happened: both good and bad, sweet and sour and rough and smooth, but I have no regrets, coz it’s always a learning curve. You learn from your mistakes and just get better every step of the way. So bidding farewell to 2016 and welcoming 2017 with a new energy and this new look.
Today is my first post of the year and it couldn’t have come through just like that. I wanted to embrace the Indian side of me and make the deal special. I love a good sari, but as a blogger who typically likes to twist and turn looks to make a style statement of her own, I wore one but in my own way. This is part one of the two part series wherein I share ways to wear/drape sari differently.
Since the anchal ( the decorative end of the sari ) is wrapped around the neck like a scarf creating a waterfall look, I like to call it ” THE WATERFALL DRAPE“. Basically you drape your sari the regular way, pin the anchal, pull it to the front, and holding the left corner of the loose end bring it to the shoulder and pin. It is that simple.
BONUS TIP: use your favorite brooch to accessorize the drape further.
Also if you remember the blouse aka the crop top was last seen here and as promised to a few of my readers, I am sharing this Indian avatar wearing the same top.
How do you like this look ???
