Ever since I got my hair chopped to this length, I’ve not experimented with it much. The most I have done is either straightened my locks or pulled it into a ponytail. This half-up bun was seen a lot on the streets of NYC this past fashion week and I seemed to kind of like it. It is supposed to be a rough-edgy-kind of updo, but I wanted to give it a seeker look. It did take me a couple of tries and at least a dozen bobby pins to keep this updo intact, but I am loving what I see….
Now shifting gears to this skirt, which made its way to my closet after a brief contemplation with self. Zara had a similar skirt last fall, but before I could get my hands on it, it was sold out. It got sold out sooner than expected. But when I saw this skirt on forever 21’s website this year, I was instantly reminded of the Zara one. At first I thought I’d just order it, but then the thought of fashion-redundancy held me back. I went back and worth on this frayed-hem-blanket-like skirt , a rage last year and of which I wasn’t sure if it was a hit this year too. Having said that: I referred back to the fall trends 2015 and guess what???? BINGO I hit the jackpot and five days later this skirt was at my doorstep. It is much cuter in person and is just the right midi length. It does run a bit smaller by the waist, so I would suggest sizing up. Today I wore it with a simple pullover and pumps, but I can totally see myself wearing it with a pair of high shaft boots and skinnier top and a chic overcoat .
How would you style this skirt ??
