Labor Day is officially over, which means it’s time to present our views on the age-old question- ” Is wearing white after labor day a faux pas ? ”
We all may have or own opinions on this controversial subject, but personally I see no reason to give up wearing white after labor day. It is a color so pure and tranquil, and living by some silly fashion rules made by a handful of high society damsels, in order to set them apart from the common masses, is not justified. I would never propagate this ludicrousy and anything of the sort that would refrain me from wearing a color as and when I like, in this case white! Of course I won’t be seen strutting around in a head-to-toe white look on a cold-cold day, but a little white here and there, especially through a tunic like this one, would definitely be up my alley.
This tunic-top was a recent end-of-season sale pick, and by far my cheapest summer purchase. I had been stalking it for a while, coz my conscience wasn’t allowing me to splurge on a cotton shirt. You can’t even imagine my excitement, when I saw it on the sale rack: last piece, and in my size and for under $25. I had to snag it and bring it home with me right then. Today I played-safe by coupling it with a pair of vintage Levi denim, but more outfit planning is underway. I am cent percent sure this top will get a lot of wear now, tomorrow and till the day it really gets freezing cold……;) !
eyelet tunic- Banana Republic ( similar )
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
