Summer must be coming to a close, 🙁 …….but I am thoroughly enjoying all those end-of-season sales. Retailers are offering major mark downs on their summer inventory and all savvy shoppers ( including yours truly ) are delightfully making the most of these sales.
This tiered maxi Tory Burch skirt that I am wearing happens to be a sale score from Nordstrom Rack. I couldn’t resist their in-store promotion of an extra 25% off clearance items. With a recent self-proclaimed mission of buying less but quality classics, I headed straight to their designer selection. I tried on a few sale designer pieces, including this and this, but this floral maxi skirt just took the cake for me, and hello ! : when a designer piece is priced in double digits, you gotta have it!!!!!.
I was happy about this sweet floral deal, but when I bought it, I wasn’t aware of the challenges I would have styling this skirt. I would have tried at least seven other top and jacket pairings, before this ruffle magenta top sealed the deal. None of the previously tried options seemed to bring out the charm in this skirt. I am glad this option worked out. Seemingly difficult to style, I took some time off to try several ways of wearing this skirt. Had I failed to recreate other looks, I would have returned this skirt, and today’s post wouldn’t have happened. But I am glad options brewed up and this skirt became a permanent member of my closet….. 🙂
What do you think of the skirt??? How would you style it ??
