As much as I love wearing western/modern clothing, it’s always a nostalgia to sartorially reconnect with my roots. I always love a good Indian clothing item and would like to wear one everyday, but amidst the daily hustle and bustle, and running around town, I personally don’t find it practical. Some of you might disagree with me on this one, but every girl has her own choices and I choose western over Indian, when it comes to everyday comfort dressing.
But whenever possible, I would never miss a chance at wearing Indian clothing. Like the other day we went to the temple, and despite the 100 degree temperatures, I decided to wear this silk-blend tunic. I could write a few pages story about how I sweated profusely in this tunic, but nobody needs the yucky stuff here…..right? The heat was unbearable and I couldn’t stand any longer than five minutes, hence the lack of pictures. It was a muggy day indeed, and this tunic was definitely not the right pick for a day that hot. At least, I am glad I had my hair pulled back, otherwise for which I would have been a hot mess and none of us would have enjoyed that mane-madness.
Anyways, the last time I was in India, I bought this tunic and the palazzo pant as a set, to be worn together. Back then, eight months to be precise, these palazzo pants sold like hot cakes? I was ecstatic about buying these pieces, but never actually got a chance to wear them. Since then, I had been waiting for the perfect day to wear it, and past Saturday was that day, when I had the pleasure of taking these babies out for a spin. I really didn’t care for the heat-index or the functionality-quotient; I just wanted to wear something Indian and new too, which I did and I feel happy about it.
What do you think of this look ???
Hope you enjoyed this look. Have a great day day and thanks for stopping by.
