Happy Hump Day Lovelies!
This quintessentially retro but all- american print had a major moment on the runway this season. Designers from Michael Kors and DVF and MiU MiU, to name a few, exhibited a cogent case for this pattern comeback. Did I mention that Dolce & Gabbana even came out with these?…..hell yeah I am loving it!
I have been perusing this print for a while now, and I feel sartorially ready to plunge into this world of some pattern fun. Talking conservatively, this print was reserved for household items like smocks, table cloths and napkins and kids clothing too, but looking at the wider picture, this trend has come a long way since then.
Wearing this print can be challenging but opting for simpler silhouettes will get you through. Frills and ruffles could make this print appear child-like, so steer away from any ruffly details.
Not feeling this print??? try the classic gingham shirt, not only will it be a safer choice but will help add a visual appeal to your look. Pair it with a skirt and some wedge heels during the day and a pair of denim jeans and sexy stilettos for an evening out.
If you are the adventurous fashion-risk-taker kinds, make a statement with the fun colors and bolder silhouettes. A gingham trench, or a matchy-matchy top and bottom set or may be a pair of killer check heels, try it all, this print will never cease to amaze you.
I do own a few gingham pieces, but I could still use an upgrade. Take cues from my picks, in case you need a print upgrade too!
Hope you are loving the pieces I hand-picked, specially for you!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
XO
