In case you didn’t take heed, I am faking some long metallic lashes in my today’s look.
When I left home for the party, I had my natural lashes elongated slightly, courtesy of coats of mascara, but when I took these pics after returning, my lashes were volumized and elongated extensively. That’s no magic, just some metallic false lashes that I picked up at the lash bar at the party.
Yes the party, it was one heck of a party. It was a cirque de suLOLA ( LOLA was the name of the teen girl ) themed Bat Mitzvah after party. There were jugglers, a stilt walker, aerial fabric dancers, a photo booth, live music, a luscious food spread and unlimited drinks to keep us going throughout.
I was so awed by the extravaganza that Ribhya’s 4rth bday planning is underway. Unlike this one it won’t be a $$$$$$ party but I know it would be one to remember just like this one….ahhh !
Anyho, coming to my outfit, I wanted to dress conservatively keeping in mind the religious motive behind the party. There was no dress code for the evening gathering but since the morning service at the synagogue called for no arms and shoulder baring, I willfully adhered to the same for the evening dressing as well. Since it was was my first time attending such a party, I wanted to dress apart but not too apart. I am glad I did so, coz most including the hostess had worn a coat over her dress.
Lately I have been making frequent efforts to re-wear my closet items often. The last time when I wore this skirt, I knew I was going to wear it again to the weekend party I went to. But this time I paired it with this metallic top ( on sale now ) which I know will get a lot of wear as well, coz I love it !!
