Ever since I read that the fall/winter 2013 is about animal prints, not the stereotype brown/tan leopard print, but about animal print in colors, I have been on a mission to find modish ways to make this trend my own. I certainly don’t have the heart to take a leap and wear something like THIS, THIS, THIS or THIS but subtle infusions in small doses is sure up my alley. So when I spotted this roaring kitty, I knew it was a good contender. I was aware that this coat would have to vie for space in my coat closet but the 35% discount was all I needed to validate this purchase, no matter what……ahem ahem !
It is called a blanket coat as it has slight boxy cut but it is one of the pieces that is sure to make heads turn( in a good way). I wanted to play up with the neutrals, hence the brown booties, which BTW were a steal at $20 from Kohls ( my newly found shopping haven ). The stripe sweater and the color block shirt add the right amount of color to the otherwise boring outfit and last but not the least I had to bring my red pout forward…..wink wink !!
