According to yesterday’s weather forecast, DC was going to be hit by a snow storm which supposedly would bring substantial amount of snow to the nearby areas. But hello, where is the snow- the snow that Ribhya wanted to use in making a SNOW MAN ?????? My lil explorer was so disappointed to learn there was not enough snow to make even a skinny snow man….
We did wake up to a white Wednesday morning, thereafter it snowed heavily for a few hours until afternoon, but despite all there was no accumulation. There is barely any sign of snow in my balcony, all we are left with is the remains in the form of slush. It’s slushy, slippery and soaked everywhere. I was hoping to see some fluffy snow and get a few clicks of us
( with a healthy snow man ) in the snow. But all hopes in vain.
Irrespective, we had a day off, Husband was at home, Ribhya had no classes and we all stayed warm, indoors. I was able to do a weekday laundry and even cook a full lunch meal, while husband babysat daughter. It was a weekday celebration for the three of us.
Talking about celebration I realized yesterday was the 6th, my 6th month blog anniversary. Can’t believe it has been 180 days of blogging already. Technically I should have been writing my 180th post today but I am not coz we are excluding the weekends when I don’t blog. Then there are days of intentional hiatus from the blog and a few other misses here and there.. Anyways, since it was my blogiversary, I was bound to dress up even for dinner at my friend/neighbors’s house.
With spring colors everywhere (including net, magazines, other bloggers
) already, I had to wear my minty green skirt to satiate this appetite for wearing spring hues. I balanced the darker bottom with a neutral blouse which provides a great canvas for the bright pendant necklace and the head wrap. In an attempt to try a new hair do I just tied a scarf around my head. At first I was a bit skeptical but looking at the pictures all fears have dissipated. A good attempt indeed, completely wearable. What do you think of the whole look especially the head wrap ?????
shirt- J crew ( similar, a save option )
