I feel blessed to be married to a husband who completely approves of me taking occasional breaks from my motherly and wifely duties ( not that I am kicking up a fuss about what I do everyday but everyone needs some their time). Every once in a while, husband lets me take an evening off to go out with my girl friends. While he baby sits Ribhya, I relax and rejuvenate myself. He enjoys the whole event as he gets to spend some quality and alone time with Ribhya. I am so glad Ribhya is fond of him and she cherishes going out on dinner dates with Daddy.
Last weekend was no exception, whilst I was out enjoying a movie followed by dinner with a friend, the daddy- daughter duo were out enjoying play time at chuck-e-cheese followed by some dinner at an Indian restaurant. I had been wanting to watch the Indian movie “Kai Po Che”, a film based on the novel ” 3 mistakes of my life by Chetan Bhagat “. The plot of the movie revolves around three aspirational friends, who are striving to strike a balance between politics and a young boy’s cricket career. The end of the movie was quiet predictable with little Ali becoming a world famous cricket player. Anyways let me not do the story unwrapping as I am really pathetic at any kind of story narration.
Coming back to the girl’s evening out, our final stop after the movie was an Indian restaurant. A fabulous evening is never complete without some sips and scrumptious food. Since it was a Saturday and the restaurant was packed, we ended up sitting by the bar . We ordered the chili chicken and the chicken biryani from the lip-smacking menu. Luckily it was a full menu bar, but despite, after 20 mins or so we were shifted to a table and out of courteousness were served some dessert, all on the house. Wasn’t that the icing on the cake ????? To me it was the perfect end to a perfect evening……
Talking about my outfit I kept it simple yet stylish. My hair was easy and tied up in a messy side bun. At first I was reluctant about wearing denim on denim, but I am glad I did. The 2 different shades of denim with the black and gold sweater and the coral necklace make a statement look all together. So another fashion lesson learnt- doubling up the denim in one outfit is definitely doable….What do you think of the double-duty look??????
