After a slow, mellow week, spending the weekend in company of good friends and good food was exhilarating. As husband was in NJ/NY over the weekend, Ribhya and I hung out with my friend Nusrat. It was coincidental that my friend’s husband was travelling too, we got all the more reasons to enjoy some quality girl’s time. Saturday was lunch at my place and then dinner at Nusrat’s out. Buoy, we enjoyed some good wholesome home cooked meals.
Sunday, we stopped by the California Pizza Kitchen (in the mall), for a scrumptious lunch. After downing some sesame ginger dumplings and a shared portion of chicken piccata and grilled chicken chimichurri we were all set to paint the town mall red….LOL.
First stop was Zara to return some online bought stuff. Lately I have had no luck with Zara buys either coz of their deteriorating fabric quality or poor piece construction. They do sell trendy clothing but relatively cheaper quality fabric. Well I am not being critical but just expressing my disappointment in a brand I once used to yearn for. Anyhoo, our next stop was Banana Republic. We couldn’t resist the temptation of shopping the 40% off entire store promotion. Truth be told it was all worth coz I scored this jacket at a dirt cheap price of $40. Isn’t that a sweet deal on a Sunday afternoon ????
The last stop was Forever 21, not for shelling out bucks but to get some of my outfit pics. The lighting was so photo favorable and honestly we had so much fun doing so. I wore my new leopard coat and the wedge sneakers are also new. Sneakers are so not me, but the latest wedge styled ones are so girly girl ….. We came back home at dusk and settled in with leftovers from lunch.
Overall a day well spent with family, friend, food and frolic…..
