Red faux leather dress
Can’t believe the weekend is over, it sure passed by in the wink of an eye. As you all know by now that we are celebrating Ribhya’s 2nd birthday on this 25th, Saturday was dedicated to running errands for the party. We shopped, shopped and shopped ( only for the party and the party girl ). Sunday was a brief visit to the caterer for the food tasting and the final menu planning. A lot of work is done and a lot of work still needs to be done. This week will be super busy with guests flying in from all around the east coast. So ladies, pardon me in advance if I go MIA for a few days.
FYI Thursday is Thanksgiving day. A day to express your gratitude for and to the beautiful people in your life. I do have a long list of people I need to thank but today I have the heartfelt desire to thank my dear friend SHREYA from my elementary school. Over the weekend I received a message from her about how supportive she was of me. She took time off to write me a message about my commendable job as a blogger, a home maker, a financial planner and above all an INDIAN MOTHER. It was such a nostalgic and awe inspiring message that literally tears rolled down as I read it. Just to know that home away from home, there are people who care for you and appreciate your work sincerely make everything all the more beautiful. So THANK YOU SHREYA for being there for me.
Her lines about my budgeting skills inspired me to the limits, that I have set up a challenge for me to put together 2 looks for all under $100. As festive and party season is around, dressing up without blowing up the budget becomes a challenge. So I have come up with three evening looks with either new pieces or pieces that I already owned in my closet. The first look today has some new and some old pieces. I will present a complete breakdown of how I spent the $100 . You have to believe your eyes for the low prices mentioned below. You all know I have an eye for a good sale and buck saving coupons. If required I do have the purchase receipts to justify my point.
I thoroughly enjoyed rummaging through my closet to hunt down for pieces within the price range. Hope you like the looks too.
