I haven’t done any beauty or self grooming related post on the blog yet, so I thought how fun it would be to begin the weekend with some easy nail DIY.
I had seen the newspaper nail pattern a lot on other blogs and was eagerly waiting all this while to try them myself. The whole process takes some time but let me tell you the DIY was super easy and the end result was just spectacular. All you need is a light color nail paint of your choice, 10 newspaper cubes about 1 sq inch each , a bowl of room temperature water and the top coat . The lighter the color, the better it would be. After I was done with the DIY and taking pics, I realized that I should have used either white or ivory as the base coat for an enhanced depth. But never mind, atleast you get the imprinted look.
Begin with filing your nails to any shape you desire, apply 2-3 layers of the light color paint. Let this dry for a good 30-35 mins. You don’t want to work on wet semi dry nails.
Now take a piece of the newspaper cube and holding it at one corner, dip it gently into the bowl of water , remove and place it immediately on the nails. Press firmly on the nails and roll the pressing finger over the paper strip for say 10-12 secs. Make sure you are pressing hard enough. Lift and see the magic, the ink from the paper would have transferred onto your nails giving a nice newspaper print effect.
Finish with 2 coats of top coat right away, otherwise the ink would run out.
Now FLAUNT AND FLAUNT the DIY and don’t forget to check back on Monday for more MUSINGS.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love n Luck
