Truth be told, these random things and thoughts post is my favorite kind of post. Reason, I can share my mind, my goods, my bads, with you all via these posts and feel less troubled. This time of the year generally gets busy and there is so much I have to share with you all.
Let’s delve right into my first talking point- BARBIE. I am sure you have seen enough Barbie content on social media and while I refrained from posting too much Barbie content; I couldn’t resist today. The second I saw this pink leather skirt and trench on the retailer’s IG page, I knew what this outfit would be about. I like to speak of it as ” Barbie feels cold too after all…..lol!”
I went all out with that pink dress worn as top, pink heels and purple woven bag. This outfit would be perfect for a work lunch, and even date night with a some scrappy heels. If I were to rate this fall barbie look, I would give myself 9/10. I feel I could have done better with my hair, which I have been wearing either straight or wavy lately.

As you all might be aware, a few days ago it was the Ganpati Festival. We usually keep Lord Ganesha home for three days, but this time we celebrated the festival for entire ten days. It was an auspicious feeling! We would offer our prayers early in the morning and evening, which meant bathing twice a day and I was so happy! No one was lazy, we were in our best of spirits and energy. I feel blessed to have done this.
While the festival season has just begun, my calendar is already chock-a-blocked with party invites and Indian gatherings. Every weekend starting this one we are attending either an Indian gathering or a local event. This usually continues until Hub’s birthday mid-December and then resumes NYE and continues for a couple weekends after that. While I enjoy attending parties/events, it becomes a mammoth task sartorially! Deciding and dressing up three different souls ain’t a joke!
If you haven’t noticed it yet, someone is taking a break from her long nails. Ever since I came back from India, I got rid of my acrylic nails and decided to let my real nails breathe. Prolonged wearing of the acrylic nails had stained and scarred my nail bed. It wasn’t pleasant to look at, hence the break from artificial nails. My nail look and feel healthier already! Whenever I feel like dressing up my nails – I use these, easy-peasy and non damaging.
Besides the nail recovery advantage, my stress levels have gone down too. With shorter nails, I am able to button my shirt, pull up zippers and do those little things which were a tedious task with longer nails. It was actually frustrating especially on shoot days. When I am in control of things, I am happy! You must try the all natural nails and experience the calm and happiness it brings you.
There is so much happening on my IG page. My Sari to Dress reel video went viral and it received tremendous response. It was my first post going vital, so you gotta watch it HERE. Other than this, Ms. Riri and I did a collaborative post with a local shopping mall and it is one of my best, most satisfying sponsored post ever. We had so much fun working on it together. You could enjoy it HERE.
For someone who is heavily into makeup, going minimalistic can be a challenge. Honestly speaking, it wasn’t as challenging for me coz I enjoyed the transition and how beautifully my skin transformed into it’s best! These days my makeup is minimal and mellowed down. I now wear makeup more often coz I know I’m causing less damage to my skin with this minimal approach. I enjoy the lightweight, breathable feeling on my facial skin. Guess it’s just an age thing, where you want less but the best. What do you think?
