Hello blog fam…
I am back after a hiatus, an unplanned one for sure, but happy to be here! My last post went live when I was India, since then a lot has happened and I’m just trying to keep myself composed. First, it was the wedding week in July, then we all got COVID, then we canceled my 40th birthday trip to Turkey- my life was a whirlwind.
Now that the school is in session for Ms. Riri, I’ll have more time to focus on this blog baby. Since we had to abruptly cut short our India trip, this summer felt like the longest summer vacation. We did travel quite a bit within US, but between traveling, backpacking, and engaging Ms. Riri at home, the summer was loooooonnnnnngggg. Glad one have one less thing on my to-do list with Ms. Riri back in school.

The dog days of summer are here and I’m so done with the heat! India was hot, DC is even hotter- now I’m a mama just waiting for cooler days to be here. In anticipation of the cold wave front DC is expecting soon, I’m presenting to you my very first fall outfit. It’s my take on wearing your summer clothes into fall- all you need is an oversized denim jacket and fall shoes. I shared five effortless, non-boring ways to transition to fall HERE and this look is one of them.
Guys ” loafers are back ” for fall. I bought my chunky ones that you see on me last year. This year it is more about flat and flatform loafers. In case you are interested there is a new REELS featuring ” five fall loafers styled for five different professions ” is coming to my Insta feed HERE shortly.
We had plans to renovate two of our bathrooms over summer, but life never goes as planned. The demolition begins this week and I’m so excited to see our vision finally taking shape. Ms. Riri aspires to become an Interior Designer when she grows up and I’m so proud of her taking the intiative here to put together a bathroom model. She chose the color scheme, the tile, the faucets and every little thing for both the bathrooms- proud and excited!
I have another exciting news to share…. No, I am not pregnant but I’m getting another baby- my new IG fashion page. I was on the fence about starting a new fashion page, but glad I took the plunge. My passion will now get a new space. My first post goes live tomorrow and I can’t wait to share all my sartorial and style delights there. Do give a follow if you’d like to show some support and appreciation.
Shifting gears a little more to my social media life, I have been taking it easy. I am really focusing on the new trend “REELS”. It’s a learning process every single day but it excites me.
I’m also excited to be one of Google’s paid early testers for their ” Thank with Google ” pilot program. Thank with Google is an experimental feature that allows my readers to purchase a virtual sticker and directly show their appreciation for content on my website. As a loyal supporter, you can now feel more connected and engaged because you have the ability to express yourself and share what my work means to you.
There are a variety of stickers to select from and every time you send a paid sticker, you can add a personal message which I enjoy receiving. For me, these virtual stickers translate into direct revenue to support the work that goes into the content that you are enjoying on my blog.
You can find the Thank with Google feature in multiple places on my site. If you try it out, let me know what you think! Thanks as always for your support!
Now it’s time to share your fashionable outfits below.

This outfit is super fun! I love the paint splattered denim jacket! I am so sorry you all had Covid. And I can totally relate to your back to school excitement. My kids start next Tuesday and I am very much looking forward to getting myself on a schedule…and I also have lots of home improvements in the works! Wishing you much success on your projects…both home and blogging.
